School Voices is a group of teachers and parents in Santa Cruz County, California who are concerned with the direction of education in California. We are working to open the public discussion of education to include our voices.

We are concerned with how standardized tesing is affecting the daily instruction of students. We want schools that focus on best teaching practices and not on raising test scores.

We want students to be critical thinkers and problem solvers, not just good test takers.

Join us!   In our email exchanges, we share information and team up to research our concerns so that our feedback to local and state officials can reflect our considered, constructive criticism. Please see our Events page for our latest actions.

We are in the process of building this site so please check back again for futher information or just e-mail us.

Thank you!
